PUB NIGHT

Twenty members dined at one of our favourite pubs, the Black Swan at Burn Bridge.

This pub always gives good value for money and for some who enjoyed a starter struggled to finish their main course.

CLUB RUN - Dales Run & lunch at Simonstone Hall

It was Halloween and from out of the fog, thirteen cars converged on Pateley Bridge.

We met at Wildings for coffee before setting off on a dales run.

We went up through the villages to Masham and then the back road to Leyburn and on up to Reeth.

The route then took us through Swaledale and across army ranges to Thwaite before going up Buttertubs Pass.

As we descended from there we stopped for lunch at Simonstone Hall.

They were serving two course for £10 including a carvery and everyone commented that they had a good lunch.

After lunch the route went on into Hawes and then up the other side of the valley to Langstrothdale and down into Kettlewell.

People then tended to make their own way home from there in different directions.

Many thanks to Alan for the route although he was not able to be there on the day.
