About the club

The Harrogate MG Club is an independent club with close ties to both the national MG Owners Club and the MG Car Club.

The Harrogate MG Club was formed in l985 with the aid of a photograph and a small paragraph in the Harrogate Advertiser. It started with only a handful of people who had one thing in common - their love for their MG - although today's Club invites everyone to join, MG owner or just car enthusiast.

Meetings are held at St. Georges Social Club, St Georges Road, Harrogate. (off Leeds Road (A61) at St. Georges Roundabout.)  on the second Thursday of each month except August. (First Thursday)

Meetings commence 8.00pm.

With our new venue Harrogate M.G. Club members become Social Club members as well. We now have a much larger, more comfortable meeting room with it's own fully served bar. The new venue will allow us to run a whole range of club activities from a committee meeting right through to a dance in the ballroom.

This gives Harrogate M.G.Club a modern well appointed social centre from which to grow. Lastly there is plenty of purpose built parking for our lovely M.G. s

Hope to see all old and many new members there over the coming years.

The Club organises various outings and social functions - including, in the past - weekends away, brewery trips, treasure hunts, pub runs, Yorkshire Car Collection, trip down a mine, barbecues, ghost walks, boat trips and a Grand Annual Dinner Dance.

We also attend MG shows and events all over the country - entering concours,  taking part in road runs and displaying our cars.

Each year we organise our own national MG Rally - The Harrogate MG Club Event - which this year is at Pateley Bridge on 2/3 rd. August 2008

As well as concours and condition competitions we have bands, MG traders and parts suppliers, autojumble, tombola, fun  for the whole family and the event is definitely not to be missed!
